The Kubota Skidsteer was recovered by the rental division of Agricon Equipment in conjunction with the City of Orlando police using the Cellutrak fleet management system.
Rental companies are prime targets for heavy machinery theft. Kubota dealership Agricon Equipment who provides a rental service, rented out a Kubota SVL95 to a construction company. The SVL95 was stolen right off a job site in Orlando, Florida.
It appears that this construction company took additional security measures and tried to secure the Skidsteer in a trailer. The trailer was broken into and the machine was stolen. The next morning the construction customer called the police and informed Agricon Equipment that the machine had been stolen. The Rentals & Service Manager logged into the Cellutrak system to obtain the exact location of the machine, a full report of where it had been and disabled the machine. The City of Orlando Police was able to use this information to validate the theft and recover the machine that was buried in the bushes.
